BANGKOK (The Nation/ANN): Thai businesses were coping with the sharp declines in revenue by aggressively cutting costs, stockpiling cash, and delaying capital expenditures in anticipation of a tough time ahead, according to TRIS Rating on Thursday (Feb 18).

The year 2020 as a whole was successful for AS Ekspress Grupp: despite the state of emergency and the economic uncertainty related to the corona crisis, the Group managed to strengthen its positions and significantly improve profitability. The revenue over the 12-month period decreased by 6% to EUR 63.2 million and net profit increased by 80% to EUR 2.5 million as compared to 2019. The share of the Group s digital revenue was 49% of the total revenue and 71% of the media segment revenue. In the fourth quarter of 2020, the revenue of AS Ekspress Grupp totalled EUR 18.4 million and net profit totalled EUR 1.6 million. Considering the ongoing pandemic, the financial results of the Group were very strong in the 4th quarter. The revenue in the media segment demonstrated a strong recovery - as compared to the previous year, revenue remained at the same level, i.e. EUR 13 million. Azerbaijan and Turkey have discussed the potential for further expansion of trade and economic relations between two countries, Agency for Small and Medium-sized Business Development has reported.
The discussion took place during an online forum on One product, two markets: Azerbaijan-Turkish mutual cooperation and trade opportunities held on February 16 at the initiative of Azerbaijani and Turkish Agencies for Small and Medium-sized Business Development.
Noting Azerbaijani-Turkish friendship and brotherhood, Chairman of Azerbaijan s Agency Orkhan Mammadov underlined the great potential for further expansion of trade and economic relations. He added that the purpose of the forum is to discuss the realization of these opportunities and expansion of cooperation.
